Will this cool tube fan setup work?

Just thinking of using two pc fans (large) to push AND pull air thru my cool tube. I'm only using a 150watt, so I assume there won't be that much each to begin with. I figured this would do the trick to get fresh air in and the warm stale air out. Think it'll work?






This is for some kick-ass tomatoes.

there are 2 ways to find out. i have no clue about the mathmatical formulas to find out the first, so the 2nd is to try it and see how hot it gets under the light.. ;p
 
im pretty sure i read somewhere that passive intake is more efficient for ducting in general, but im not an expert. I would spend the 17 bucks on a 70 cfm bathroom fan and use that.
 
just off the top of my head i read something somewhere about passive intakes being more efficient, im really not an expert but it's mentioned over and over to people making grow cabinets, alot of them plan to add an active intake and are warned off because passive intake is more efficient.

i have a 70 cfm fan in a thin ikea cabinet 8 feet from my bed and i basically don't hear it. its being used as a cool tube fan for a 400w hps and the main exaust fan for the cab, and it works great, light only added a couple degrees C.

Let me add one thing. The pc fans will only be used to move air through the tube. I will also have two pc fans hooked to small scrubbers. See attachment. I will also have a normal small fan to move air in the cab. thoughts? The other two pc fans will be moving air through the tube.

"work" is a very relative term lol... it'll certainly cool it down, yes. will it accomplish your goal, ie reducing temp enough in whatever space you're growing in, depends on a lot of variables we don't know. I would guess yes, since your light probably won't put out too much heat in the first place. my 400w hps gets damn hot, but is cooled to touchable temps with only 70 cfm.

yeah a 360 cfm fan does the trick for me.. check my threads .... using it as a veg chamber now..
 
I have found with a cooltube setup with aintake----cooltube-----exhaust causes condensation on the intake side which causes humidity to rise a bit and the dripping water and puddling which in return causes other things like attracting pest and blown bulbs. I switched it up and left the intake side of the tube open and went passive,the exhaust side of the tube hooked to a blower and out of the room , temps are the same with or without for me btw...
