Will the Congress grow a set?

White House blocks Congress from meeting with former aides in Attorneys investigation
White House Counsel Fred Fielding sent a letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees stating that President George W. Bush will refuse to comply with subpoenas for testimony from former White House aides.

Contempt of congress is an impeachable offense: let's see what Conyers actually does about this, other than grandstand.

If congress does it's job it will file the contempt charges ... they can't be allowed to get away with trying to steal the 2008 election and must be held accountable for the crime of "caging".

Conyers won't do jack-shit. Neither will the rest of the do-nothing Democrats. So far, what have they accomplished other than holding hearings after hearings?

Build the freakin' wall and stop with the gotcha politics.

Sorry to say Vi is right on this one. Congress is so bought up by Corporate lobbyist (to hell with any lobbyist that represent an actual cause, Like NORML or MPP) that they can't do anything.

You may be right about the do-nothings, but the republican minority will not allow an impeachment. It takes 61 votes. And BTW in case you haven't noticed, they're not interested in a wall, in fact they are trying to erase the borders both north and south. Thats your buddies, the right wing captains of industry.

I'm all for a contempt of congress, but you'll have to throw in some repukes as well as dems. I can't believe the dems are supporting open borders, must be some big payoffs going on, and anyone found taking special interest money should be recalled, impeached or fired, whatever they do to get rid of them. The dems used to be for the working class, not any more. Not many politicos are for us working class heroes, they are all corrupted by big Money. The constitution is in dire straights. It is being sold out!

Why is it so hard to believe that the Dems are not supporting our existing immagration laws and not building the fence? The illegals to the Dems represent future votes for the Stalinist Party. Pretty simple in my estimation.

Do you actually believe this non-sense. How long would they have to wait for the citizenship to kick in before those illegals could vote, 10-20 years is my guess. I don't think that is the reason at all. It is the corporations and their contributions to the campaigns that are fueling this idiocy.

Med ...

Read the text of the immigration bill that just got shot down. It was a fast-track to citizenship. Also, I agree that corporate interests are at play here too. Cheap labor ... and misinformed votes both are playing a part.

Just some idiot
See a two party system works great doesn't it? At least the two parties have something in common now, greed.
