I don't see how that's possible. Before Kennedy Democrats were championing the benefits of asylums to care for those who couldn't care for themselves.

But public opinion changed after many movies and books like The Snake Pit and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Which showed their shitty life, but provided no solution.

I too liked the sentiment. But reality's a bitch.

Just like I love the sentiment of socialism. But how do we support such a thing? If we can't even support our most vulnerable, the mentally ill? Especially with liberals wanting to let anyone in, and then they leave. If we allow that, how do we give to both temporary residents to America, and the ones who do work? What gives a person motivation?

I'd personally love such a system, and would work twice as hard knowing what I was doing was going towards others, rather than to droning, or lining the pockets of greedy pharmaceutical companies. But how do you get rid of free loaders? That's the reason I worked so hard to be my own boss, because I ended up doing most the work in group projects. The free loaders because they were more personable, could convince the boss I was the one not doing shit.

As your own boss, it doesn't matter how much of an asshole you are, or if people like you.

Anyway. Just like this stupid thread. If we can't even get along with one of our own states, and the party of Bernie Sanders like Skyler says is true, how can we achieve this socialist utopia? Because I'm being serious I'd like it too. I just don't see where the road that leads to such a dream is located.

The problem is grouping too many beliefs into one candidate, who even if you agree with one to a few stances, those other stances most likely go against many of your core values. A solution to that needs to happen, and is the only clue I'm giving.

Unlike Rob's unproven philosophy, mine is proven and still improving. Why not give it a chance? It's not my fault such a party doesn't exist in America. Until it does, I'm not supporting something which doesn't. Because that lets the establishment know I don't really care, and I'm willing to compromise. I won't let them get that impression.
