will switching to hps shock my ladies?

switching to HPS from what? No they won't get shocked, they'll just get really happy.
People switch from MH or CFL to HPS when they start flowering, there's no stress.

If your worried, throw a drop or 2 of super thrive or go to homedepot or lowes and buy yourself some b1, normally in the lawn section. B1 helps with any sort of shock

I do a few things in a attemt to stress em as littel as possible .. dunno if it do the big diffrent .. but I like to think it do ..

I use T5HO tubes 294W for Veg.

and a 600W HPS for flowering ..

when I switch I keep the HPS atlest 2 feet away and move it do over a week or so ..
that week I also cut a hour a day untill I reach 12/12

so my plants dont get a blast of strong light in another Kelvin .. and a cut in light time on 6 hrs in one go ..

dunno .. just how I like to do it ..

I keep clones under CFL and Flower HPS. I never have issues but I do keep the light 2 feet from the tops when I transplant and switch to putting them under HPS just as slipon stated.
