So I've got 5 plants growing under a 400w MH. 30 days old. Got a situation where somebody needs to come past and I need to temporarily move them to a closet for 3 days. How the hell do I change the light to keep em veging for 3 days?

use some smaller lights. I suggest a few cfl bulbs in a tote with a fan maybe, 24/7 on will do it for you.
an led fixture will do it too but cfl's are cheap as hell and at the hardware store.

There's a sale on right now at Ocean state job lot (if you're in the us) for Cree LED floodlights. About a buck a piece.

Oh...I forgot to mention that they are running 18/6 at the moment. Will switching to 24 on for 3 days affect this?
