Will one Gen3 UFO LED Grow Light flower 4 plants?

LEDS WILL NOT MAKE YOU HAPPY WONT GROW NOTHING I WAS GOING TO SWITCH AND SPEND 3-4 GRAND ON LEDS AND THE HYDRO SHOP WOULD NOT LET ME WASTE MY MONEY THEY LIKE MY FLOWERS THE WAY THEY ARE. BEST AROUND IN ANY BOOK OR SHOP mh /veg HPS/flower.

A new poster in all caps with a hard to believe claim. A business, that is in business to sell you shit, wouldn't take your money? I call Bull Shit. Myself and many other LED growers laugh at stupid claims such as this being made. If you actually knew your shit and had the resources, you would be using both MH and HPS for veg and flowering.
You don't need to cite your opinion as belonging to millions of other growers to substantiate your own opinion do you? You rip LEDs and then ask that your opinion not be ripped? LOL.....

What else do you expect the HPS, MH, hood, fan and other lighting suppliers or those involved somehow, to say? That LED's beat their ass? That's why they're HATERS, cause they see the writing on the wall in the very near future. And Brother, you can bet 99 to 1 that there’s some angle in it for most of the haters.

-New to growing and just making sure the LED would do the job because i have read lots of great things about LED. The only bad things i have read are older threads/comments on them like a couple of years back threads and comments. i just think thats because technology wasnt all there yet for the LED lights.
- I work 8-5 every day and biggest worry is plain and simple to not get caught growing or burn down my house. So LED just seems like the perfect way to go. Spend a little extra money for safety and from what i hear better flowering than HPS lights.

would a 90w-100w leds be able to grow 4 plants lstd and pull of 1.5-2 pounds or each plant? just wondering becasue i can see it being a cheaper option than getting hps. in electricity costs i mean.
would really apprciate any opinions

simple answer most probably not with 90-100w or anywhere near 1.5lbs (off all 4).
For budding (unless you have one of them new fancy 150-600w LED panels) your best using a hps or if your using a lower powered LED supplement it with some red CFL's or T5's or summin.
by the way I'm not knocking LED's, I use a 90w UFO and its awesome for veg! just you want more power for more bud

also thanks for the info. i was just thinking about get the led. but as you said not enough power for so much bud. i cant afford to be spending loads of money on a fancey light. i guess il just stick to hps and cfl haha.

I bought a UFO Ebay special last year. There is no way I would try and flower with just the UFO. I supplement it with a few CFL's and some older LED panels. Not all strains will flower properly with this setup. White Widow seems to do OK, but I would guess you would be lucky to get 1/2 oz per plant. I just finished a grow with 12 plants where I ended up getting about 4 oz. Some of these were doubled up two to a pot, so probably half of these plants were kind of runts. This was good enough for my personal use. In hindsight, I would get a 400watt HPS. I would veg with the UFO and some CFL or t5 florescent, switching to the HPS for flowering. Since the UFO uses only 90 watts, I would supplement the HPS with the UFO during flowering. This might keep it from stretching too much.
A big negative from a LED/CFL array is it can be hard to hang and setup the lights. You might have six or more lights hanging, whereas with HPS you only have one.
I think the LED panels that show promise have much higher wattage than the UFO. You also run the risk of getting LED red or blue that isn't the proper color.
LED are good for heat concerns.

Haha Awesome, you a fellow east ender? no worries about the advice.. I can always stand to be corrected cos all my knowledge is theory, I'm still on my 1st grow tho.. but yeah more wattage = more bud...
Yeah you could flower 4 plants with it, and along with the T5's you might get some good bud, I've heard of people using them red T5's and getting good results, just keep em close to the canopy and try and get a bit of light underneath for side lighting, are the leds 90 degree or 120 degree tilt? mine are 120 as I'm using them as a main light that does the whole veg cab but its not as concentrated..
if its 90 degrees I would say it will only flower 1 plant as its pointing straight down and i assume the diameter of your pots is roughly the diameter of your ufo. (thats roughly a 3 gallon pot diameter)
so it will flower with the t5's pretty well just the ufo will only cover 1 plant give or take a few depending on pot size.
hope thats useful..
on a side note LED's look really fucking cool (colour wise), I get baked and can watch my plants under them for hours lol

look her dip sh!T do you use leds and knowege has nothing to do with who has the most post on a forum, your dumb as a hand if you think leds are worth a penny a pound put your vcr in yur grow room then, and ther is not a hydro shop that will sell a regular customer leds in san diego unless they insist. most dont even stock um.
Custom build Leds are a little different story i addmitt!
4000w HPS and 2000W MH. itch out nown my new room yes money did not give me all the money i need i had to start out side in the regular dirt and work my way up getting dirty like a man yu ever tryed it. you have way to may post to work like a man you called me out im ready dont b!!!!!!!!tch now.

Will see how that grow goes and what store did your leds come from. because its not fair to indorse leds ingeneral when u run a custom setup not sure if you do ut if your plants are doing anythin close to just hps not even hps/mh mix you didi not walk into a store and spend 100. and they dont just plug in the power runs thru some box that most led owners have never even herd of.

yea man. lived here my whole life haha. thats cool man, im still on my first grow too. im just getting things ready for my future grows to come! i dont think im going to bother with leds. im looking for major bud production! i hate buying 2 gram £20. takes the piss.

I just popped in some Pineapple Express and Super Lemon Haze beans (and some freebies) in yesterday for my next grow!
but LED's work for Veg
I agree they are too expensive at the moment for the high power ones, which is why I'm flowering with a 400 watter, got about 7-8 weeks left.and most of my dealers are tight bastards, I have to proper shop around lol sometimes I only get 1.7g for £20 = Bad times
if you have problems check out my grow in my sig, I've had a lot of them and solved them well enough!
I agree.
and T5's work really well I haven't heard much bad stuff about them!
