Will I need more lights?

I have the same light but different brand, Its pretty big in size and i wouldn't recommend it for a pc grow. I wouldnt recommend this type of light if you dont have a ballast to go with it, because the most lumens are produced from the side of the bulb.

Dont you mean reflector?


I have seen PC grow cases for sale with a 125w CFL like that. They usually have a case fan blowing right at the light.


I use a 200w ECO CFL for mother/clone area and them bitches get hot. So fans are a must.


If you lined your PC with reflective material you should get a reflector like spread of light from the material rather than trying to fit a reflector in your PC too.

My (3) 42 watts get pretty hot as well.
I use a 6 inch duct fan as an exhaust in my cabinet to combat the heat.
