will a 5w light hold my girls in veg through the winter months in a greenhouse?

i have a few girls that are flowering nicely in my greenhouse, i have some clones i want to put out now but i dont want them to flower straight away. can i add a 5w light when it gets dark for a few hours to hold them in veg for a month or 2? i dont have electricity so i can rig it up to a battery and then charge the battery with a solar panel during the day.

id say 5w is to little light atleast I'd say a 25w would be better still not great tho. good luck

dont listen to them! get urself a CFL light bulb and get it as close as u can to the clone without touching it! but 2 munths might be a little to long im not sure about that part! good luck and i love ur solar panel idea explain that a lil more if u could!

thanx for your reply mate!. you can get solar power trickle charges for car batteries, so the plan was to connect a few CFL to the battery and then charge the batterry during the day. ill get the specs for u 2moro if your interested

not a problem but try to tell me how many plants or area, as im a tropical grower i struggel with these problems all the times. usally it can be done, just trim the plant to lower, remember ( only from own experience the root system is usally the key to bigger yeild later,, if you only want to keep the plants alive... here we have maximum of 14 hrs light and 12 hours give take it's usally, so growing other strains then pure sativs can be a little tricky but works with the right strategy..... but still keep them low, dont be shy to trim them down its the root system that will give the power in the end anyway... so healty soil and all that comes with it matters..
