Will 3 600W be enough?

Ok so I am in the mist of ordering and creating my grow room I'm going to be doing a indoor soil grow. My question since I will be doing sativas wich are the larger of the plants is will 3.1 gal pots be big enough.
Also I'll be using 3 600W MH/HPS lamp the pots are just under 10"X10" square are they big enough to grow full size plants and will 3 600Wers be enough to put 40 pots in 4 rows of 10? Or should I look at less pots and shrink down the area.
(Another grow lamp is really not in my budget.)
Thanks in advance for any input. Oh yeah if it matters the room is covered in a panda reflective black side up on the floor white walls and ceiling. Also I am using C02.

I use a formula of lumens per sq ft. The min lums per sq ft is about 2100. The yield at that level will be min at best. It is said that 3500 lums per sq ft is good and anything above that will just make your yield get bigger. I'm at 5000 lums per sq ft. How many lums do each light put out? I would guess 60,000 x 3=180,000. So if you had a 10' x 10' area, that would be 100 sq ft or 1800 lumens per sq ft. Low. Now do a 5' x 5' area and you now have 3600 lumens per sq ft. Better.

It says there High output 600W bulbs that emit 95,000 lumens each. I'm thinking the MH is the same there just special bulbs that make it MH with no switch just a bulb change. The way I was thinking about doing it is exactly 48 plants so 16 under each lamp. which will be just under a 4 foot by 4 foot area each ( roughly 10inx10in pots) which will put it at what 5937 lumens. So my new question is would I be better off doing 9 plants under each and ending up with only 27 plants total and having 10,555 lumens. Will the lumen increase create a harvest that will surpass what the additional plants could have done under the lower amount of lumens? Or would that be enough lumens for more plants that the sheer amount of plants will create a harvest beyond that of lesser plants/higher lumen ratio.

95,000 X 3 = 285000 lumes 10 X 10 = 100
285,000/100 = 2,850 lumes/sq ft
since your room is less round it to about 3,000 per sq foot and your doin well. if you can shrink the area down just a bit it would work a little better but like i said your doin pretty well as is

Those are good numbers. Rotate your plants under the lights every 3-4 days moving the outer plants in the middle...... Send us the pixs. What strain? I'm growing 10 Big Bud fem plants now for mothers for cloning. Will keep my best 5 plants. I have 2 NYCD for mothers as well. I'm in week 3 from germ.

Jack Herer fem under one lamp White widow max under another and an undecided strain to go with it under the hird all Fem seeds though. Something sells good I don't smoke

I'll get some picks up when I finally get em rolling, Still finishing GR deciding on a few last things then its wait for all the stuff on order to construct it. (First grow)

dude your shellin out the money for 600w grow lights and you dont even smoke? if thats the case just do what we have been sayin, but just a suggestion since your sellin not smokin it get somethin that appeals to your customers next time you get seeds like somethin purple or blueberry or some kush. thats how to sell the stuff if its got a well known name.

I quite smoking years ago my circles full of 40+ people who miss the Sativas that noone seems to grow anymore. Those are some of the highest potency strains so I figure 1200 a lb should be simple. They don't care about name its all about the smoothness taste and quality.

I agree. What does the street like. I do smoke and NYCD is for me and Big Bud is for the street. Everyone loves a whole 14 gram bud :hump:

Where I'm from everyone likes the look not the name. Joker is right. Know your customer.
