wierd mutation purple kush auto. leave it ?

hi guys i just started an auto purple kush grow in coco (day 1. im using GH nutes @ 400ppm and ph @ 5.9 with a 600w HID light 8n a 4x4 tent. i noticed that at the end of one of the fan leaves a branch started growing in place of a finger from the fan leaf. just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. im going to leave it because i dont want to stress out the plant

Yes let it grow ,there has been more and more of things like this happening it seems then years ago could have something to do with the increasing number of seed producers

I would let it grow! It looks like it will grow straight up as a top now.

I would low stress train that leaf branch to build some strength while its in veg

I would grow it to just see how it turns out but I would never make seeds from a plant like that.jmo…..I have never sean a plant grow like that one.

thanks im always ok with a few extra nugs iv been growing for 10 years and iv never seen this before

The fan leaf itself is going to start to naturally die and eventually fall off its very low on the plant

Your gonna eventually clone it that is my prediction I had one same thing

It is one of the lowest leaves I ended up cloning mine before the leaf gave out

i didnt think you could clone an auto flower ? it will have the same genetic flaw as its mother tho?

Yes you can BUT the yields are usually very low compared to the mother

My clone did not carry same flaw but its possible fore sure that it could

If you can you should try to prop that little guy above one of the other tops. Ive noticed that which ever top is the highest regardless of where it comes from will usually end up being a dominant top and grow more vigorously.

If you tie a string around it and lift her up and maybe low stress train the other tops so they are below her I bet that top will start to grow faster

not looking good for my mutant. as we get deeper into flower the fan leaf that supports it is dying. cool experiment none the less

It was a cool experiment. I'm really enjoying the freaky things the plant will naturally do.

Even if you kept the plant healthy and lower leaves thrived, it wouldnt be able to support much and will possibly take energy away from the plant....? Cool none the less though

I would have selfed that plant just to run the mutation . By making fem pollen and seed out a couple of lower branches
Nothing wrong with sporadic “ mutes “ chiming in.

Autos cannot clone as their lifespan is fixed.

Run it as usual and harvest.
