hi :):),

im currently growing in soil and wish to (slightly) expand my horizons towards hydroponics.

ive herd about the wick system ( for those who dont no its where a piece of rope is put from the medium, into a lower nute tank.).

i was wundering about a few things b4 i go for it.

how do i no how much nutes to give it?? ( i dont want to buy a ppm meter)
what sorts of nutes??
how long can the rope be from the tank to the soil??
how is the water pushed up throught the rope ?????????????

Nutes....Thats really up to you. Any hydroshop will have a good range of nutes. Organic or chemical is up to you.

How much nutes? Depends on a couple things...like how old your plants are. Are they in veg or flower. The amount changes as the plants' needs change.

How long should the rope be? Not sure but you should be able to find that out easily. That info may be in the link I gave you to the Growfaq.

A PPM meter or EC meter is advisable.
