Well the last couple of days i uped the nutes to 1600 ppm and the plants seem to be coming back around. I still dont get why 3 plants are great 3 are dieing and 2 are so so. I also put 4 in dirt and they dont look so good. It may be my clones i get its from a strain that is old. ps when i post this it comes up as a read how do i make it a question mark that is front of my post. I'm a newbe at this.

There's a plant problem thread I tried to find, it asks you all the important questions so you don't miss anything. You see it could be lack of nutes or it could too many causing a lockout. You can hit one clone with so much PPM and it will do fine, where a branch from the same plant runts out and dies. Too many variables, you can't get good help without listing the history. Age, starting PPM, when did the problems occur? RH, TEMP, type of nutrients, additives, water temps and etc.

Typically I find that by the time I would have posted all that crap I could have found the problem myself. But let me ask you is there any slime on your roots? Stem mushy? Root rot? You checked this stuff right?

if you click on my name and click on my posts i made go down to the one that says "hydro probs" and click on that you will see my write up on my delema. i sure would like to know what you think then. roots seem fine, old ones are dien but i use ridamal and zyme after to clean them up.

It sounds like you are PH locking out some nutrients as the ideal range is 5.5 - 5.8. Theoretically the best res is a swinging one, from 5.5 to 6.1 over a few days. That is a complicated approach that I am not using at all, but I might if I had huge problems.

Look at this chart to see what I mean, this chart shows at what PH the nutrients break down best and can then be used by the plant. My veg plants are very forgiving, I can let the PH go a little and I do. But flower plants are hungrier.

Actually the optimal pH range for hydroponics is 5.6 to 5.8 for the majority of growing methods and plants grown with hydro in inert medias.
