So i have had these sprouts growing for roughly 2 1/2 weeks and they are still pretty small. is this the normal growth speed? why are they growing so slow? i am 100% sure i have enough light. what am i doing wrong?

You guys have been very helpful thanks i appreciate it.

how deep is that pot? weed plants need a lot of root space and even those tiny seedlings probly have a big chunk of roots for each plant, i would give them a bigger container.

if you are very very careful and keep as much rooting from each plant as possible and dont shock them with a totally new soil you should be ok. and water them good after you transplant if you do it.

seedlings of that size dont need too much room at all for root growth it is something else .... heat, light or you added unneeded nutes .... ive grown seedlings way bigger than that in plastic cups before- good luck

heat-75 degrees
lights- 1 42watt CFL 1 13watt CFL
nutes- I havnt used any.

should I use some nutes?

when I transplant should I pull the sprouts by there stem out of the soil? or should I try to shovel them out?

oh yeah most certainly need to be trans. ....they shouldnt have been planted together in the first place because it causes problems transplanting.

def. dont pull by stem.. shovel idea might work but make sure your soil will be wet enough to stick together a little and not crumbe apart exposing open roots

They actually don't seem to be growing that bad, but if you want to speed things up, you don't actually have that much lighting for that many plants. You should get several more CFL's. And if you are going to move them into another pot eventually, don't pull by the stem, dig them out.

Bad idea with that many in one pot. Ive started 2, and even that you shouldnt really mess with. Thats gonna take some careful transplanting.

you need to transplant those.I just turn the pot upside down with the babies thru my fingers, most of the dirt will fall away, make sure not to lose any roots. They should do better then but they look pretty hearty for how they are, maybe kind of dry? rottsa rux.
