Why no fucking buds yet???

I'm over a month in my flowering stage, and still no buds. Just hairs. Why is this taking so long? I just switched to HPS, and have been using the flowering stage nutes since changing the lighting to 12 12, but only my 2 lowriders are budding. WTF???

Patience my son. The goodness is coming soon enough. I have heard that WW can take a while to flower in some conditions. What are your temps?

I'm a chick. temps are 75-77, humidity around 40-50%, got the CO2 running when the light's on, off when light's out, fan going, everything is good, I think. The only thing I can think of that might be causing probs is my DWC setup-no pumps bringing the water from bottom to top, so I top feed (by pouring a cup of nute solution at the base of the stem) every other day or so.

yes, it's totally dark when light's out. WW has a longer flowering time, but they were 2 months old when I began the 12/12 stage. I just switched the bulb to HPS, but they seem to like it. It sucks bc we vegged for way too long, plants are too tall now, and it's taking forever to show buds. Just not all in all a very rewarding experience thus far. And my landlord almost found us out the other day-just walked right the fuck in with a new vent filter, headed strait towards the grow rooom. Had to intercept him in my PJs with no bra on, feet from the door, to tell him we already changed the filters. Damn! it just seems like more risk than it's worth.

Oh, and the really weird thing is, there're tiny little whit hairs, but no buds-almost looks like they're growing right out of the main joint:. I think the problem is that I should have been using HPS right when I changed the light schedule. Flowering with MH was probably a terrible idea...I feel bad cuz I've been telling other people who are asking about it that it's working fine. Oh well, live and lern. :joint:

Please don't sour on gardening. it is supposed to bring you joy - not aggravation. even though it can be damn frustrating at times

I'm not sour...it's fun very rewarding and an invaluable learning experience-awesome watching a tiny seedling grow until it's fucking taller than me...can't wait to get some acid and just sit there and trip in the grow room...:-) 400W MH from the beginning of veg until just recently.

dudeeeee....... NOOOOO!!!!! you said your growing Lowryder #2 right?

It's an Autoflowering Marijuana Strain. it NEVER needs dark time, ever. Thats why its taking so long, you've been holding it back and now its gonna take 2 times as long. No biggy just keep it on 24/0 and it'll go nuts

BEST OF LUCK BRO!

umm cutting them down becuase there not flowering as quick as you like is just a rediculess idea there 4 months down the tube because you didnt have patients leave them be , MH are known to take longer for the budding stage short dence buds with MH switching to HPS was a better idea if the HPS havent been on it for a week or two give it time and take it from there but for future refrence HPS is the way to go for flowering

ive grown w/ MH and the results were great, the yield was smaller than HPS but the quality was just as good & the buds were thick and huge. you definately should have used HPS for all of flowering, i switched from 1000watt MH to 1000watt HPS for day 1 and im a little over day 30 with HUGE/THICK buds everywhere. however, it shouldnt be affecting your grow like this, both mh/hps grow good herb.

on another note, stickysage might be right...although, i dont use autoflowering strains so i really dont know what to tell you now. i always thought autoflowering just meant it would start flowering automatically, i didnt know autoflowers flowered at 24/0...is that really true? forgive my skeptical nature, im just really interested in that!

Just a thought - temps around 75-77 are obviously good, but what is the temp at the top of your plants? measure the temp in the top of your plants by placing your hand where the buds are - if its uncomfortable for your hand, your plants wont grow well. I would also check the ph!

Yea loweryder #2 is an auto-flowering strain. It has absolutly no vegative life cycle, from the second it first starts it jumps right into flowering, all lowryder plants usualy stay around 12 to 14 inches, it's a small damn plant.

You can never clone it unfortunantly, but who needs to when the plant goes from seed to harvest in 40 somthing days total.

I know for a fact this is your problem, leave it under 24/0 and watch how sick those little guys get.

Stay High!

haha thats so cool! i had no idea autoflowering strains literally went from seed->flower like that! 40 days til harvest is pretty cool, but it kinda sucks that you cant ever take clones or get them big.

take stickysages advice and let them do their thing if they naturally require 24/0 for flower. take pics too!
