Why is weed illegal and have you done anything to help legalize it?

Trying to be a good example of a person who enjoys smoking weed for recreational purposes, yet contributes to society in a hard working and responsible fashon. Trying to show as many people (as it is safe to discuss it with) that weed is not as harmful as it is made out to be, and that it deserves to be treated like the amber poison that everyone else seems to enjoy so much.

Yeah, i signed that one a while ago, don't know if it will do much difference, even though the clear facts are: 25,505 wants to legalize it and only 9 people want to keep it illegal...fuckin crazy!

its not legal for a hand full of reason, big corporations, propaganda, etc. most of it was because of the 60's, and maybe the late 50's when the drug war began. i've helped plenty people on this site learn how to grow it, so im a small part of out growing the government i guess you could say. i may just leave a few plants in a bush and let them breed, get a shit ton of seeds and throw them in front of the police station, thatd be pretty interesting

Weed will never be made legal in the UK. To pass that in the house of commons could hardly be thought of as a vote-winner. As with all things, it needs to start with education, although no fucker educated me about drinking 15 pints of guinness or smoking 50 cigarettes, yet those two perfect examples are legal and highly lucrative money makers for governments world wide
