Why Is There Homosexuality, And How Does One Accept It?

I consider me bisexual yet still wonder what makes me the way I am. The parents were very loving, but mom worked a lot so she was very busy. Dad didn't work much at all and seemed to be an inadequate father figure. They divorced but continue a healthy relationship. My first thoughts of homosexuality came from a very close friend. I now accept that I am attracted towards certain males. I do not know if my attraction for women is as strong.

I have a hard time accepting it because I want to feel normal. I want to introduce my parents to a girl that I date. I want them to be at my wedding to watch me marry a woman. I want to have children the way nature intended. I'll figure it out eventually.

Personally, I love having sex with men so I can understand it.

However, I don't really like the homosexual/bisexual men who get married to a female just as a front for family/friends. I suppose this could go for homosexual females as well, I just never thought about it.

To be honest if ur havin doubts and feel that its unnatural, then ur not mad and something inside u is saying that what ur doing is wrong/unnatural, so u need to fix up. being gay, a stingy person, sex addict or etc... is a test in life, the difference is that while a part of u is attracted to something another part isnt. in my opinion you need to fight it with all ur power before its too late.

there is a difference between a person who smoked crack for a year and then made the decision to tackle the problem even though under addiction stress, his success might be a long process, even if it means gradually slowing to a stop. and a difference in a person who smoked crack for a year even when he knew it was wrong and was doing great harm but chose the buzz over his life and kept doing it which eventually leads the person so deep that the way out will never be in sight again. in effect this person by then has little/no doubts that what he is doing is wrong etc... which is the most dangerous of all positions, to truly believe that ur doing the right thing while blocking out any otherwise evidence.

In effect while ur still in between depth and surface take ur pick. and don't believe all that rubbish about its in the "Genes" or its 2010 or wt ever, do what ur inside is telling u according to right/wrong-natural/unnatural and long term, remember ur going to get old soon and 10 years from now ur regrets might kick in but by then its too late.

Oh and why this *recent massive homosexuality is there in the first place is pretty simple. i wont elaborate though as it holds no value and is a pretty long conversation.

i actually wandered to this part of the forum by mistake and this thread caught my eye. if the op is really wondering "why" my opinion is that has a lot to do with pheromones. homosexualty has been observed in many different species, and usually when there are lacking numbers of the opposite sex or extreme overpopulation. it is my theroy that homosexuality is at least in part a defense mechanism designed to avoid overpopulation while also maintaining the all-important sense of purpose and desire to flourish. whether or not there are triggers or something similar is not something i have an answer for, but i do believe there is an evolutionary purpose for it and there is nothing wrong with it.
