why is only a stem like thing growing out and no leaves?

i planted my germinized seed and its been 3 days and only a short stem looking thing has come out...what is it?
 
Yeah bro back to the drawing board for you, more study. That dirt is from your yard and looks shit, weeds growing out of it and thats the worst dope plant ive ever seen, no question. And that little reading light is useless.
 
yea u got alot of readin to do before u try to start another, ur best best is outdoors, imo, next year tho, then u got a whole winter to read up, indoors ur gonna need to drop a good amount of money to grow some half way descent plants,
 
I see a stick like thing fat twig in there but then in the bottom left on the second picture i see a little baby plant... soo yeah.... All you really had to do was go to home depot or some type of store that sells plant soil. Go and buy a 3.99 bag of Miracle Grow seedling starting mix. And you will have a nice plant then when it is ready put it in MG potting mix, Miracle grow isnt a bad soil brand, its actually one of top researched brands. Once the plant is bigger buy plant feed. thats a weed u see and not the kinda weed were lookin for, i made this mistake before too, years back, using soil in the yard bc i was to cheap to buy ne, and then u get a bunch of thes little weeds that pop up
