Why is fullspectrum better for clones/mothers?

I always thought 6500k flouro blue spectrum light was ideal for clone growth and keeping mothers vegging. But now I am hearing that the mixed spectrum 6500k mixed w/ 3000k flouro is the best...any fact to this? why?

I think any light that comes closer to sunlight (full spectrum) is better for all stages of plant growth. It's not like the sun switches from MH to HPS during the fall :-)

I think most people don't do this because it is more expensive, not really necessary and produces more heat.

I'm no expert....but just thinking about it....I would think that the full spectrum would better replicate the sun in the spring and summer months. As an HPS tends to copy the sun's spectrum of the fall with a bit more red.

Drink!
