UV light and oxygen degrade the chlorophyll. If stored away from light and air it stays greenthe chlorophyll which makes the plant green turns brown when it's dead.
So if you bud is green when you roll it up, then its ok, the green is but sugars ...I too have wanted to remove the green ish from my bud but not at the loss of quality, although I've heard that vacuum packing works, but I doubt that ...?
I don't think the OP wanted to remove the green. I may regret it, but why did you want to?
And then you're gong to want to get that shit to assisted living because they're the only ones who'll remember those days.Iv'e been growing for 45 years now, in the old days of the 1970's most buds we bought then ...at least the best Acapulco Gold or any quality Mexican or Columbian were anything but green, shit brown to gold was the color back then, anything green was seen as understated or low quality ...lol
As such I would like to find a DIY method of removing the 'Green' from my bud, without any THC / CBD loss ...?

Mexico and other countries dry their large harvests outside naturally so perhaps if you sun dry your buds you'll end up with brown buds, doesn't mean quality sucks just mean chloraphyls leached out, you're not going to reproduce this drying in your bathroom, but maybe under a MH light, but why the fuck would someone do that? I can't buy the compacted buds theory because I used to get some really green middle of the brick weed back 20 years ago.
