Why doesn't my bud look like the common I buy?

Ok, my first grow. Not that it's not as good, It just doesn't look as compact.

what type of light setup do you have?

Did you cure your buds?

plenty of reasons, strain is the #1 though, high power lights give a tighter bud structure. If yer not selling it doesn't matter anyways.

you can compress them by hand. put em in a plastic bag all together and sqwish em
