Why does mids/low grade get you High?

I have been getting some pretty good herb for several months and I just got a little low on cash so. I bought some mids and got really high. I would think that after smoking high grade (snow cap, frutii tutti, skunk 1) for a long period you would build a high tolerance to THC and mids would barely affect you but in fact it makes has a strong although short high. Just wondering why that would be? Im pretty sure there isnt anything added to the herb just slightly seedy green brick weed.

Maybe it's just a different strain, and you have built a tolerance to your usual strain (like with different dominant traits)

this is my two cents. im not really sure, but i think that most mids that people get were harvested a long time ago and most of the thc has degraded to cbd so you get more stoned(when is the last time you had a sativa like mids high?). I bet the mids that we smoke was dank when it came off of the plant. I like to think of mids as a different high rather than a worse high.

i think that the difference in THC content is not that staggering - say your high grade has 16% THC and the mids have 9% - you only need to smoke a little more to get the high grade dose...

the man has been filling people's heads with the idea that some pot is WAY more potent than others.. in case you are a victim of these "Skunk" and "high potency" pot fear tactics - here is how they got their crazy figures - they took samples of hash oil to include in the data so it would look like pot growers are mad scientists wielding the ability to alter plants for super normal THC production..

Mid Grade weed is a strain of High grade weed, (or it was) now it has been re Generated over and over and over and over and over again until the strain eventually wears out, and it dramatically decreases THC content; Ford442 said it...THC goes from 17% then re Generate that bitch x100 by re generate i mean clone. and what happens.....

Schwag can be from great genetics treated badly or just shit all around. If it's mexi there is a good chance it is a sativa dom and the THC profile could be way more interesting than great looking, dense, crystal, tasty inbred commercial weed you've been smoking. don't let looks fool you, Thai stick off the stick looked stringy and shitty, smoking it told you it was the best in the world.

where i live i rarely get any high grade (amnesia haze and rhino mostly) so i smoke standard weed most of the time and it does its job and i have no problem smoking it as im pretty sure its not sprayed. All this high grade food doesnt faze me much... i just wana get HIGH!

I have a plant right, i got the seeds from a bag of mid's, so when i grow it will the weed be more like low grade exotic, or still Mid grade bullshit?

I grew a mids bagseed plant last year, buds were kinda fluffy but the high was 10x better than the bag it came from. And they looked dank kinda neon green with a tint a purple from the cold nights, grow it out you won't be disappointed.

Most bag seed comes from decent genetics. It's usually just the commercialization of it that degrades the quality. Things like males not getting culled or simply not taking the care for 100 plants you would for 10 because it becomes impractical. Then its dried in mass quantities which may lead to mold, mildew, and the dreaded ammonia smell. Then you brick it up in mass quanties and all the good resin gets left on the press, but since it's mixed with all kinds of crap it will always be substandard hash.

You get the picture.
