Why do the Kessil H350 Deep Purple's suck so much ass?

Why will these not grow a bag of dog shit if you sprinkled it with 24k gold? And why do they insist on a 410nm peak in their led choice?

They suck because thats not all a plant needs.

Sure.. it helps specific things occur, may make cannabis produce more of its natural sunscreen, those "crystals," but if you seriously just throw a plant under one of those things and think its gonna kick......,..,..welll.

Thats one basic plant.

I have never used Kessil products but have heard a whole bunch of bad shit, but personally, I think they'd be sweet at the right price, and used correctly

Ie. get 4 of a specific colour spectrum mounted at the corners of HID hood, or to help out a larger CFL grow for those stealth lovers needing a boost, I would personally be all over the hood setup with 4-6 different lights/wavelengths of reds and blues for the right price.

idk, Ive never used em but just by looking at them; you can tell they're not intended to grow by themselves.

Think outside the box, broaden your sprectrum.

Idk, that spectrum actually looks pretty sexy to me. Throw a couple of these in your grow room with it to kick start some stuff maybe. 90W of penetrating LED shouldn't go completely unnoticed...

Hey, where'ed oyu get that graph, btw? You got one for the H350M?

This.

I'm a believer in LED's, but I was/am mostly interested in Kessil's for supplemental lighting. Like adding a couple reds for the flowering.

Also, read here: https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/508900-4-kessil-h350-600w-hid.html

lol, LEDs in general is weak. u need at least 2-3w for a good LED. even if its the right spectrum, without enough lumen and par wouldnt do shit for a plant. think of this, you need energy to make energy.

Hey it's Fonz! I see you've slunked back in. Did you grow up yet or are you still in love with your hyper intelligent ego, Oh Mighty Spectral Master? LOL Bet you bought that LED for the name huh? See ya round Nancy.

Deep purple isn't the flowering spectrum...it's for veg only. I purchased the magenta H350s and and had a great veg and now I'm within two weeks of harvest and the buds are fairly large and I can't believe how covered in trichs and how absolutely rock hard they are. One of the main colas even has a small hash tip. :)
You havent' said what you tried to do with them that you are so unhappy. If you want to flower with them, I think that you'll need to add some red lighting - fluorescent or LED - to be happy. I kept mine about a foot away during veg and now during flower they are within about 6 - 8 inches. I have good bud development all the way down the plant - a bushy indica about 2 1/2 feet tall - and only culled the bottom two branches before flower. Also, like all other manufacturers Kessil exaggerates the coverage - I'd guess an H350 is good for about a foot and a half square - or one to one and half fair sized plants. I had to cut back on watering and add a heater into the room since the LEDs produce so little heat but everyting is just humming now.
Of course, if you are just unhappy, I'm sure that you can resell them on e-bay quite easily.

*kessil's are meant to be used as "supplemental" lighting (primarily) :)

deep purples are usually used in conjunction with veg light setups; and magentas are for bloom.
not really sure what you are trying to get across with this thread o_O

I've had the Deep Purples for over a year and have tried to use them for vegging, but nothing happens. Sure, I've used them as supplement very successfully, but as a stand alone lamp as Kessil claims they are, I got nothing. I'm not trying to flower with it, just trying to see some new growth and nothing to this day. I'm wondering if anyone has ever had good veg results with it as a stand alone as the manufacturer claims or is it all hype. I just want to see one successful grow with one LED lamp/panel/whatever repeated and proved. Not just one grower, but many. I want to see proof that what these manufacturer's claims are are for real. No, not 7 panels together, but ONE PANEL with many LEDs that actually get the job done start to finish. There are so many claims out there that LEDs work as a stand alone light source and I'm just not a believer......yet. But I want to be. And something proven can be repeated by many users, not just one.

The spectrum came from my spectrometer. It shows the dominant wavelengths in the product. I don't know why they would put 410nm for trichome production when it's supposed to be a veg light. Anyway.

^^^^ hahahhahahhaha god... At least I'm not the only one
All I know is that dude talks so much about "dicks" that I could have sworn he was a chick. I'm still not sure yet, but I really could care less. Whenever he/she shows up a bitch fest breaks out though. LOL

It's true, it's true. Ima hard trollin' monstar!!!! This is a re-enactment of what I did to the Fonz's beautiful thread last time we crossed paths.

LOL Goddamn it, I missed you Fonzi. Are you gonna compare me to that POS in Conn now like you compared me to that POS in Colorado? Remember that PM? I do.

Hey thanks for the bump in Rep. And I'll always be here for you. Can't stay and chat today. Just try not to screw up all the hard work people are doing and I'll c u soon
You got some nerve coming into a good thread and fucking it all to pieces. You are just like the type of people that walk into movie theaters and start shooting for no reason. All anger and no compassion, real nice. Maybe it was you at the movie theater.
Ahh the good old days. I remember them well. We were all about the passion then, before I lost interest and you couldn't get that last word in. Remember? Hey did that hair ever sprout?

LMFAO now that's fuckin funny. If I could like and relike I would be all over it.

All I've seen from that guy is negativity and confrontation. It's those kindve posts that degrade this forum and the passion of growing cannabis, supporting and reinforcing the shallow, superficial viewpoint society has on it.

Thank you FJ

Im here to learn about cannabis, not why you have an unprofound fetish to ruin perfectly good threads- you made a point in the last one, "why do we get sunburnt in more southern regions.." and youre right, but when you deliver like you do. your just a dick.

But that doesn't mean that thread is "retarded," or unjustified, it just means there are people more curious that want to delve into their work a little more- than you do.

I don't get you. I would respect you as I do several others on here...but i cant get past your bullshit, you know your shit, but its so fogged by just... utter disregard for anyone else' view and/or opinion that it literally makes your word worthless, when it could be priceless...bummer dude, and im not trying to talk shit or bash lol or whatever, Im just hoping youre aware of your actions and wish you could really see the impact of your decisions. Everybody has the ability to be great, it's up to them if they are.

Talent..... hm..

Talent is learning to play an instrument and creating your own diverse sound from it... or knowing step by step how to swap out a transmission, and not have to backtrack... speaking of your individual experiences, or life in general- is not. That's life.

I was at work up till about 45 minutes ago, I prioritize my life in the correct manner to know. Moderation is key, for anything. My grandfather was an alcoholic, I am aware that I have an "addictive, attachable" gene/trait and being aware of that let's me stay in control and know when enough is enough.

"discipline is the refining flame by which talent, becomes ability"

Broaden that spectrum Fonz
