Why do some people "whip" their bho to make wax?

I have been making concentrates for years. Admittedly I have never whipped a bho, and have never had a problem making whatever consistency bho wax I desire. Why the "whipping" almost seems like it would be counter productive. Idk? Anyone feel like filling me in on the importance of "the whip". Appreciate it.

They whip to help get residual hydrocarbons out. On the downside you are introducing lots of Oxygen while whipping.

I was always told whipping traps more hydrocarbons. See that's why I ask. I get conflicting information. I've never whipped and my honeycomb is better than anything from the store. Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it.

Yes they whip to help get residual hydro carbons out. Whipping it thins it out allowing for gasses to gas out. It also adds lots of oxygen to the mix, usually losing that glassy look. You don’t get shatter, diamonds, or distillate from whipping. So more Of a thing of the past, except for at home extractors making personal products that do not have access to vac ovens.

Everything I make I vacuum purged. I have never had a problem making beautiful honeycomb cookies. Just never whip it. Comes out better. You would be surprised to know how many people still request wax in WA. We have it all. People still love their wax tho. I smoke distillate and shatter mostly. The live resin. Terp sauce/diamond's whatever. It all tastes too "live" for me lol. Reminds me of what it might taste to vape a green bud. I want to say I taste chlorophyll, but idk. I like hydrocarbon shatter. Thats just my girl's and my preference I guess.
