why are my 1 week old plants not standing up straight?

Hey I have attached a picture of my plant. Its falling over and not standing up straight. 2 out of my 4 plants are doing this.
All of the plants get equal sunlight *They get direct sunlight *, They all have the same kind of soil too. the plant is 8 days old, currently not using any kind of fertilizer.

Whats wrong with them and how can i fix it?

It's stretched. How far away are your lights? Keep your light close over the plant and gradually raise it as the plant grows. To fix it, re-pot it and bury the stem deep or simplay add more soil, etc. up to the brim of the pot.
 
Light is waaaaaay to far away. You keeping it in a windowsill?

They are stretched, thats why there so tall. They are trying to get closer to the light.
 
Are you getting direct sunlight all day? If its doing that even if you are getting sunlight all day you could try and LST grow or use a wire "cage" and just grow it up and around that. You could also put a small fan on them, if they aren't getting any wind then the plant wont grow a thick stalk like you want.
 
Add more soil, bring it inside, water and fertilize it, put under a couple of cfl's for a couple of weeks and then put it back outside when the sun has more solar energy.

you stretched your plant. this means your light is too far away from your plant. you can do the following:
1. make something that will help hold your plant up.
2. add more soil which will cover the stem to the point it will stand up by itself.
3. take your plant and throw it across the room thus fixing the problem for ever.

He said the plant is only a week old. That’s a bit early to fertilize.

Over the couple of weeks of vegging inside he will need to lightly fertilize them until they're about 8-10 inches and several nodes. Unless he is using a mix like MG. I assumed that he has read enough by now to know not to fertilize them in the 1st two weeks.

Probably not though. Why do people that haven't grown anything before think that they can grow MJ?

That's why RIU is here, I guess. But the answers don't come to those who wait. Be proactive ... read research, then ask questions.
 
Damn, my babies are doing the same, I'm growing them in a balcony facing the sea in Mexico! But I thought the sun was so strong it was going to burn them so I put them in a semi-shaded area. It seems even though they had just germinated they are tuff sunavabitches and can withstand heavy sun then?

I gave them to a friend to keep them in his roof, gonna check them out today.
