Just thought I'd start a Halloween pumpkin thread since we're gonna be carving one this weekend.

Anyone else carving pumpkins?

I'm gonna bake the seeds and eat them. was wondering if i could roast them in cannabutter in some way, too. to make halloween thc friendly.

Ha i just picked 2 of the dozen growing in the garden, i want them in various sizes so i'm picking some now, i wonder how long they last when not carved?

i don't carve until the week before halloween. last year mine rotted befre the 31st

If you store them in a cool, dry airy place they can last from 2-6 months. Keep them off the ground.

Hey, I have that same kit. Lol. I usually do mine a week and a half before candy nite. A tip to making them last is to coat the inside with petroleum jelly. I like to put a black light inside my larger carvings for a different effect. It's color is really cool, especially if you peel the outer skin from the pumpkin.

This thread actually inspired me to buy a couple of pumpkins yesterday. Gonna wait till my chick's day off to carve them. Gonna try and come up with a good RIU related carving. We'll see...
