My WW doesn't look anything like the other ones I see on the intrawebs...is there that much variation in such a well established strain or did I get okey-doked?

White widow can start off like that a lot. Give it time. It is one of the best newbie strains of all time and the effect is quite good. I like the flavor a lot myself and i grew one that netted 6.5 oz of buds. It was a monster.
 
That's good news. Thanks. This thing is growing like a cabbage. Well, it was til I transplanted it to a 5 gal. bucket today. It's looking a bit forlorn, at the moment but it'll recover, I'm sure.
 
I find all sativa dominant grow like that at the beginning anyway. Then they start going all sativa in flower. Spindly little buds :D But i love sativa

White Widow is a great strain, certainly for a first run. My runs with it were all heavy and tasty! Both started out with big ol fat Indica leaves and turned more hybrid during pre/early flower. They look right to me.
 
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I started growing in January of this year and have had some dismal failures. This particular plant is especially responsive so far & I really don't want to fuck it up. She took the move very well & I plan to put her back under direct light this morning. I'll try to keep up posting about this as it progresses just in case someone's interested.
 
Thanks. I've been considering it but space is limited & I kinda wanted to get a couple of successful grows under my belt before going all balls to the wall. Just started germinating 5 seeds from my Canuk Puck for a summer outdoor grow. Maybe I still will take some cuttings later.
 
White Widow #1 is thriving in her new digs buuuuuuut I'm debating taking the big fan leaves off to make more room for the mains. What's your feeling?

Almost don't want to say anything cuz I'm a total newb but exposing a bud site would probably be worth it if it's completely covered and the leaf can't be tucked to the side somehow, take it with a grain of- you know what just take the whole salt shaker.

My plants are 3 weeks old and are lookingbthe same, bushy and growing 1-2" daily, one problem just started on the lowerbleaves though, see pix. i thought it was a cal/mag deficiency but treated it 3-4 days now and still finding 1-2 leaves each day?? Any ideas?!IMG_3919.JPG
