White mucousy slime on clone stems

In my aero cloner I have noticed that over the last several days a white mucous like slimy coating has formed over many of the stems. I had run a clonex only solution for 5 days an then switched to a light veg solution of Dutch Master. I've had tremendous difficulty in controlling the temps in the cloner because the room gets rather warm ~80 degrees or so. The water has also gotten up to high 70's even touched 80 one day. I am assuming this probably has a lot to do with it. I've had dying clones go soft and develop a slimy coating, but never have I seen it on so many clones at one time. They are still alive, though if this doesn't get dealt with, they won't be.

Does anyone know what kind of infection this might be?
And how do I deal with it?
Do I have to throw away the clones and start over?

I suspected it might be "slime algae" as referenced in this thread: https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-dwc-root-slime-cure-aka.html .html

Did you try H2o2 already? go to the drug store and get a bottle. Mix in a 1:4 ratio (4 being water). place your clones in a tub filled with this water while you clean and sterilize your aero cloner, use some bleach and boiling water. When you have it ready add the H2o2 solution to the cloner and run it for 2 days.

I haven't tried H2O2 yet. For some reason I was under the impression that store bought 3% hydrogen peroxide had additives that weren't good for plants/roots (silica maybe?), but I guess it's worth a shot. It's difficult to get food grade (35%) H2O2 because it's a controlled substance.
Are you saying run this mixture with no nutrients? Just H2O2 and water?

I've heard from many people that Clonex is really unnecessary, and that roots form just as fast with RO water alone, or with a tiny amount (200ppm or so) of nutrient solution. I'll have to do this experiment.

In the meantime I was going to remove the top of the aero cloner with the clones still in, and run a some HTC Shock and Swim through the unit for about 15 minutes or so. BTW Shock and Swim is what I use to make homemade Clear Rez; $4 for a lifetime supply. Then I was going to make up the dilution of 4:1 Water/H2O2 and add a few tsp of shock solution to it and run this on the clones for a few days before switching back to nutrient solution. I'll have to wait and see. Hopefully I wont lose all of them. I'm also a bit worried about cross contaminating another bucket. I'm also going to try some Mycogrow for beneficial flora.

I also have a feeling that this infection is why the pH in my aero cloner always drops to 4.2 each and every day. It has always done this, basically from the beginning since I got it from a friend.

No RO either! unless your water is over 150ppm which I doubt. PH'd Tap water all along my man, you could add some hygrozyme or Aqua Shield, maybe a very diluted solution of H2o2 but that's it when cloning from scratch. About you current slime issue, your PH confirms you got bacteria growing in the res, Slime formation (from bacteria) is a natural protection against harmful chemicals such as chlorine, acids or high temps. Attempts to reduce bacteria with biocides, and hydroxyacetic acids are at best temporary solution.

just found out where the slime likes to hide!!!! make sure you remove the back cover of all PUMPS where the cord goes into attach to the back!!!
