Oh they do , But you need to tend to them , They are sensitive to being wet and getting cold and BOTH .. If you can tend them then go for it ,,
 
I planted them late and they got mold and attacked by bugs .. out of 4 plants I got 2 males and 2 girls .. 1 girl gave 4 zips dry the other gave 6 dry .. It was 2-3 yrs ago ..
 
this is my first ever grow. ive never even seen a marijuana plant with my own eyes, only on tv, internet and newspapers

Some strains do better then others and are more hardy ,,, These kush are very sensitive and finiky bitch's , The finished product was real good ,

For some reason I knew this. LOL Most none new guys won't ask what yield they will get. You could get flamed for the question but we eased ya in here. lol. Just be sure you plan to have your plant covered when rain comes in flowering.
 
Plastic .
Ive used a 10' x 10' pop up
whatever you can use to keep the plants dry ,, You dont want the buds getting wet if ya can help it ..
