Here's the latest statement from the Sacramento Bee: "U.S. attorneys will be targeting major commercial operations in California - but said not every dispensary should expect a letter from the federal government. "Our intention is not to prosecute everybody in the state," he said. "Our intention is to get people's attention in order to deter this activity."

I don't think so, I read they are not going after patients and caregivers, just commercial grows and SOME dispensaries...just to send a message, they say

If the feds really did target all the dispensaries in Cali, they might get a real fight this time. In the last 5 years those clubs have made enough money to make an impact. If they unify against the FEDs, they could win.

I'd imagine at least the bigger ones that can afford good legal help are unifying. The state itself should push back, all the tax income missed (that the state really needs) that'll be missed out on.

They generated $150million dollars in state sales tax alone. That's not including corporate taxes, payroll taxes, employee income tax, etc. We are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars per year in tax revenue generated by these clubs. It's not insignificant.

I'm hoping the States stand up to this shit since they know first hand that what we have here is a good thing. The Fed has been fighting it the entire time instead of trying to learn, fucking idiots. Fuck man, we need some new blood up in the political system. I am tired of listening to all these old white heads that can not forward think and realize change is fucking good. I have always thought that congress and house need to be 1/3 or 1/4 full of young population, while we(youngins) wont be enough to make a big change, it will at least start introducing some new age thinking.

See dude's exhibit he's holding up? Get a good look at it. This is exactly how we are fucking up and practically begging for attention from the feds. Dumb motherfuckers shitting in their own yards.

To the clubs advertising their meds as "dank" and "chronic" and "fire" in your ads in the local paper: Fuck you. To the publishers of MOTA: Fuck you. To the clubs that hand out free copies: Fuck you.

Fuck jackbooted federal thugs, and fuck all you that did your best to taunt them into action by making a mockery of MMJ.

BTW everyone need to sign this.. Our voice needs to be heard..
It won't matter. Obama is trying to raise 1 billion dollars for his campaign. Where do you think that kind of money comes from? pharmaceutical companies, that's where. That's what this is about. Pharmaceutical companies need to see more oxy. Obama is probably promising them club busts for campaign donations. It's really the only thing that makes sense.

So unless you have a way to raise millions of dollars and donate it to the Obama campaign, stuff like this is going to happen.

There's always going to be something that guy can point to in order to demonstrate that MMJ needs to go. If there is nothing in reality, he'd just make something up. Don't blame magazines or clubs. Blame the people doing this. Obama and the drug lobbyists. MMJ is cutting into their profits and they don't like it.

we should tell everyone obama is cutting a bunch of jobs. if you make it a jobs issue, not an mmj issue, we may get more traction.

Fuck the Government and their narrow minded views!!! They want total control not a herb that almost anyone can grow as use as medicene

All this is an exact copy of alcohol prohibition.....they have already lost control but dont want to admit it

They have listed Marijaua as scheudule 1 drug ...meaning no medical value..... at the same time they are allowing US Veterans to get MJ prescriptions and NOT discontinuing thier benefits....Hummmmm

The US Government knows that MJ has medical benefits...but to admit that is to admit that the US Governmet has been wrong for years and that will never happen

That is why the US Government has given major phara grants to synthecise the chemicals that make up the MJ plants..... for profit

The Government of the US doesnt want to provide cures for our dieses... only treatments for the aliments...treatments they produce for $$$

Other countries give doctors bonuses to keep people healthy and away from the doctor's office or hospital....keeping their patients healthy is priority #1

(End of Rant) :)

I refuse to sign that petition, cali had a chance to change everything but they didn't want to be regulated, colorado WILL continue as it currently is until we legalize for recreational use. Learn from colorado.

The west coast cannabis convention in SF this weekend has now been re-branded as a "jobs fair" so it doesn't get fucked with :) I love it. Way easier to bust a cannabis convention than a jobs fair.
