white bumps on stalk

Had a deer or something smash a cage and break at plant 90 degrees, i bent it back and tied it and now 3 weeks later it is str8 up with just a thicker stem under the former break and a knot on the former break...this plant has little white bumps down there that look and feel like roots, what should i do in this situation? Is it even a big deal? They go probably at least 8 inches up the stalk. I dont have a good enough camera for pics.

A picture is going to be ideal for this. I'm wanting to say it is scale. Is there any browning or discoloration near the white bumps?

I dont have a camera that can get this detail so i cant but no not any different color difference than any of the other plants....ive spent some time reading though about this an tomato plants doing this possibly call "adventitious roots"....from what i read it doesnt seem to be a big deal

From what i read it can be natural...but i was wondering if it has to do with the break...to me its amazing that it healed str8 up with no bending, even when i tied it up it still had at least a 15-20 degree bend...below the knot the stem is about 3x the size of the stem above the knot....they are very small but they feel soft and look like roots initials

Your lower branches should have benefited greatly from the break as well. Did you notice them stretching and getting bigger all of a sudden after the break?

The plants were all stunted then and sick looking, there were no branches besides fan leaves and they are already stretched, the break was also only like 8 inches off the ground. The plants were all as stretched as badly as i would say possible before the break, they were just str8 up and down with not much going on....I just went back or the first time in 3 weeks they have tripled in size( i cleared out the weeds around the base of the cage that were blocking light + stealing root space and that time 3 weeks ago i put MG on them) but this plant seems to have lagged which is understandable, it was the largest of them all before

There is another plant 6-8 inches away from it but i though about covering this plant in soil below where the old break like was and where the white bumps are.
