WHich led for my 4x4?

Those things are surely a bang for the buck lol...never heard of em...so you say they're working pretty good for u? Seems like some alibaba stuff
yep. I helped one of my friends who owned a hydro store a 2 years back finding him some reflectors and feel in love with alibaba the hoods were very good quality. Here's pics of the 1200watt in action

I'm using a Mars II 900 watt and 1200 watt and so far working great. I have 2 4x4 tents and one in each here's the link http://www.topledgrowlight.com/led-grow-light/led-grow-light.html?___SID=U

Sorry dude, it's not a 1200 watt panel. It's a panel made from signage grade diodes and it's loaded with Zeners, which is killing whatever efficiency those 5 watt diodes have. I mean, look at those clones. They're stretched to shit to me, especially for LED grown clones. That's a complete lack of power and proper spectrum in my humble opinion. Here's nodal spacing on a SLH clone that's 15 days from actual cloning, under what you call 40 watts of LED, (it's probably closer to 30 watts of draw actually). It's 2 x 10 watt 12,000Ks and 1 x 20 watt 630nm of off-the-shelf, Chinese based, multi-chip spotlights basically working as well as some big wattage Chinese "Horti Grade" panel. In other words, there is really no such thing as Chinese Horti panels. It's just whatever LEDs are available this month. If I was going Chinese nowadays I would avoid the "Horti" panels altogether. Or at least buy an Evergrow direct.
The clone lights used cost less than 50 bucks. Soil line is where the Coke label ends, so she's a bit taller than she appears.
I've been meaning to ask you RS, what "overpriced" LED panels have you owned that made you decide to go with LG/Top?

And OP, Area51 is probably the best deal pound for pound. You can start with one larger panel and then add smaller ones to the grow as you save up. 800s a little low for 4'x4'. Now maybe if you were growing wheat grass a LG "1200" could flower a 4'x4' properly, but weed in a 4x4 is gonna need some oooomph.

^^^5 watts are by their nature not as efficient for growing as say a 3 watt, but that's not to say they don't work. What matters is the size of the die and the amount of light that can escape the package. Now CREE puts out diodes that can be run at 1 Amp+, (5 watts), because of the efficacy of the material used. Light escapes the semi-conducter/package easily and produces less heat or heat that is manageable. And that has a lot to do with design and factory standards. Now here is where Chinese tech tapers off. Their idea of a 5 watt diode seems to run in 2 camps. One is to put 2 smaller die together in one package. Problem with that design is you generate too much heat because of the proximity of the 2 die. Or 2, they use a much bigger sized die and run it at 600-700 amps, and now you have a die putting out a lot of light, which is great for signs, but it is not as efficient for growing since it had to use quite a bit of energy to escape the bigger size die, and generating lots of heat along the way too. If you're going to use monos, you need to have as much efficacy as possible. This is one of the reasons CREE and others can charge so much. You spend less money making light and cooling your design than using the Chinese "sledgehammer" method. And I say all this because I used to run "5 watters" and they grew weed. Just not a lot and at a much bigger price on the old monthly ebill, which a lot of pro budget panel peeps ignore toooo much.

Anyway good luck with your choice 6! You do know TOP makes you pay 90.00 US more for a flowering spectrum. You're gonna need that.

IMO, depending the height they will be hung I would
consider 4-6 cree cxa 3050's or 4 - 3070's in 2.7-3 k
spaced evenly.

Good luck and stay safe.

Thanks bro...I appreciate every second you spent to reply...ok let's just say we scrap the mars and go with the diamonds from advanced ds400...what's your input on that light all together based on the specs?

DS400
Total Coverage @ 18" height - 6ft x 3.75ft

Light Dimensions - 36" x 8" x 3"

200 x 3w High Output LEDS

Average Power Draw - 368w/600w max
USA bridglux

Some people like them. One of my favorite growers likes them, so while I'm not their biggest fan, and I've never used one, I can't trash them completely.

Have not just overpriced hps in big rooms

You just don't know about me led's are a new test for me. Like I said I grow for a dispensary for a living and I grow monster plants under hps and leds are a new challenge for me. I have more plants to take care then you can imagine.Do I have to pic you out on this thread? look at the pics I put up. It's not a 20 oz bottle it's a 2 liter. You should take a close look at my signature before opening your mouth

And they're still stretched to shit. LOL And what LED panels have you used? I missed that part.
Oh yeah the stretchy plants are OG and skywalker stop hating Fran here's a pic from my other grow with 2 1000watt hps in a under current system at the dispensary I grow forDSC00014.JPG vegged for only 2 weeks where's the stretch on these? Wait these are Blue Dream not OG or Skywalkers lol

^^Uhmm what does any of that have to do with LEDs.^^

And the hate comes from a combination of your arrogance and ignorance. You've never grown with LEDs, never grown with more than one company's panels, never grown with any other type of LED other than Chinese 5 watters and have never grown with a higher end panel yet you have the temerity to give advice to people about LEDs in this forum and you're going to PROVE to the people who have been actually growing with different panels and tech's for the last three+ years about LEDs and LED growing? People who've grown with shit and the good stuff. You're gonna show us something about Chinese signage grade LEDs? That they're as good as the "expensive" stuff? Uhmm, news flash, you DON'T know what's good to begin with on the LED tip. Get it? There are people here who know more about LEDs right now than you ever will, and your gonna instruct them? That's called ignorance and arrogance and your attitude is an insult to the entire LED community here. That's why I got my shitty hatin' attitude out.

Now feel free to get in the last word, cause I got shit to do. And you better start training your seedlings if you want to get any kind of yield out of them under the LEDs you're using. Oh but wait a minute, you already knew that, right?

I would say go with 2- area 51 rw 150 or xgs 190 and you should be fine.

Or

1- xgs 190 and 2 X rw-75.
thanks man ..but where the hell can I find em? they're sold out at the site..and none on ebay?! lol And why are they so expensive? just trying to understand them a bit...I see the xg2 draws 190..ill need 2 which would be ~380w total sounds nice..and how better are they than say an apollo type led? (273w draw)

Have not used a Apollo led to compare and you can see many a51 led grow journals here on this site. They are highly recommended because the leds are a good bang for your buck with a limited lifetime warranty! Can't beat that imo. I have 2 panels from them now and plan on getting another 2 after harvest.
