Which fan do I place the carbon filter on?

Hello everyone, I will soon be attempting to grow weed for the second time. My first time didn't work out because I wasn't happy with my grow box and I didn't have time to improve it.

My new box will be made out of wood and I will be growing 1 plant under 3, 42watt cfl's. I will have 2 pc fans and a carbon filter.

My question is this: Does it matter which fan the carbon filter will be placed on?
If someone could explain this to me I would be very thankful...

Does just saying your carbon filter should be on your exhaust side of your ventilation system tell you enough?

Lol... sorry I should have done more research before asking that question. I think I know the answer now, the fan that's rotating counter clockwise from the plants is the one you place the carbon filter on because thats the one that sucks in air. The second fan will be rotating clockwise which will make it blow air toward the plants. Is that right?

Brick top put it best but lets put it a bit simpler. Put the carbon filter on the fan that suck the air out of your grow space.

they both rotate same direction just depends which way you face them. Its for the exhaust IE the one blowing outward
