Which auto should i run??

I plan to experiment with an autp strain this crop and am stuck between advanced seeds biodiesel mass auto, and dinafem s white widow auto.

Anyone have any experience with any of these? Or any advice, thanks!

I'm no fan of autos. May I ask why you desire to run autos? /not trying to start anything, simply wondering the reason. ETA, is this your first grow?

Yeah i been hearing from MANY of my friend s that autos are a waste of time.
My whole motive (i hope) is run a few autos in with my regular crop and maybe get a somewhat decent mid crop harvest from these?

Also this is def not my first grow, but am inexperenced with autos. Well i grew some lowryder #2 years back in greenhouse but vaguely remember the yeild, but for sure wasent potent. Konda sucked actually; went straight to concentrate production

At any rate im kind of leaning towards not growing these and wasting my time, nutes, and valuable space!
Reason I asked is because a lot of new people in the growing community seem to think it's "easier". I just made made a new friend a few weeks ago and she showed me her garden. Beautiful photos grown next to these wimpy sad auto flowers. They were free she she said and wondered what to do with them. To the hash pile I said, as she really needed to to flower the beautiful plants plants she had In there

Why not just throw some beans straight into 12/12 for the same mid-grow harvest, but with better genetics and better yield? There is not a massive difference in grow cycles between auto's and photo's grown 12/12 from seed. For some reason people seem to get HUGELY defensive about auto's, and hugely overhype the "benefits", such as grow time, or how it's somehow so much easier to grow (auto) cannabis than it is to grow (photo) cannabis.

Also remember that auto's are much more expensive to grow.

I've made several long windy posts about autos(there's even a bit of math ! :) seek them out if you feel so inclined) :) and how I felt duped when I first started into buying auto seeds. Especially after I grew 12/12 from seed. All autos take longer to finish then the advertised time. People don't seem to account for the seedling stage of growth I guess? But an 8 week photo will finish around the same time as a 8 week auto.

Auto's are for outdoors where the sun isn't a good guy :)

couldn't have said it better myself. Will add no clones, which actually speed shit up if you have the setup, and the consistency isn't there I've yet to smoke an auto I liked, would buy, or give away even. The two I grew weren't worth smoking and it was almost an insult to an my friend when I gave it to him, it was that shitty

They're only good for outdoors. You won't harvest mid crop, in fact there's a real good chance you will harvest after your photos are done and you'll be fucking pissed because you could have put a decent clone in there instead.

just curious because I have not grown from 12/12 at start, how much could avg grower yeild off a photo started in 12/12? I just got 5 oz off my auto and if I could have more potency and yield in same or less time, then im skipping the autos.

I got a little under 2 oz's on each plant I did, I am sure that could be improved upon it was my first time running those strains and growing that particular way, also pretty new grower at the time.

Those were very small plants, under 2 feet, in 3 galon pots. I didn't have my feeding schedule dialed in either, I stopped using synthetics shortly after that grow. The strains I grew were NL and Big Bud, from Vision seeds. There are pictures in one of my threads (there isn't many to dig through, something like Mr.heads grow or something :))

* some strains are not suited at all for 12/12 some do amazing it's a bit of experimentation. Indicas seem to like it from my XP

Sativa and sativa dominant hybrids will yield more from 12/12 than an indica will. Indicas will do alright though too you might just have to increase the numbers you toss into flower as they won't stretch as much. SCROG vs SOG.

How does this work out with regard to turnaround though? I have followed a few users who've done nothing but 12/12 from seed, and it was always the lesser hitting indicas which stomped butt when it came to yield (they were/are profit growers.

I'd imagine faster flowering indicas will give you more yield. But you'd probably have to grow more of them. Honestly every strain will be a little different, some plants take longer to reach sexual maturity etc. You'd really have to experiment but I'd just go as a general rule of thumb that you'll get bigger plants from sativa dominants.
