Where To Look For Sex ?

My first grow is around five weeks old now and don't you know, I am eyeballing them daily for some sign of sex. What I am wondering is, is there a specific place on the plant (top, middle etc.) where they tend to show first? Also - is it off of the main branches or the secondary branches that I should be looking?

Most of mine showed about 3/4 of the way up the plant. Near the main stem right at a node.

Patience bud. They will show and it will be clear. If males you will have plenty of time to know and remove before the pollen pops.

Great pics, thanks. So the moral of the story is, mine are just too damn young to see anything yet... This is definately a patience building hobby!:peace:

yes time will tell and i looked at your profile you have done this(growing) before i see.

LUDA,

Well my second grow is only 4 days in, still working on my first grow at 5 weeks, if that counts! lol Think I'm in it for a long time though - I really like growing.:peace:

If you really want to be sure you can put the plants in to there 12 hour photo period sex will show in three to four days. soon as you know chuck the males. as for the females if you feel the need to veg longer you can revert to the veg light cycle you have them on. Only con is you for sure push your harvest date back by at least a week

should look like this if its a little girl -

also remember that their is vegetative growth during flowering -I made the mistake of waiting too long before flower - not that it will effect the outcome, but it will take longer to flower the larger the plant... at least thats what I have come to believe

That is a beautiful pic right there, even my inexperienced self saw the white hairs right off. Lovely, thank you!
