Buy quart jars, some rye or wild bird seed and dextrose... then prepare a sterile media of water with 10-15% dextrose at least ( I use honey at the rate of 2 table spoons per pint jar). Inoculating a sterile media with the spores and then culturing the media will save you a tremendous amount of time, my first time with spores took almost 2-3 weeks to colonize jars, something you can easily do in one week with a liquid culture.
As someone else said, the shroomery is a wonderful place for knowledge... if you spend time there you'll be growing pounds of shrooms in no time with zero electricity. I'm on my second monotubs now and they're fucking phenomenal man, I don't know what to do with all these shrooms. (search ohmatic monotub and 50/50 verm/peat casing)
