This is my second grow and this time i'm useing Mh for veg. and then switching to hps for Flowering. I've never used a Mh bulb before and i noticed that the Mh bulb runs hotter then the hps, so where in the grow room , (closet 2.5" -6"-7 ) the actual growing space is 2.5"-3"-7" useing half the space to grow 5 plants. Where should i be most conserned about the temp and where in the space should i "take" the Temp. Two of the pics are old but they give an idea of the "space" im working with. And what would be a godd Temp, whats the hightest i can go?

You should be most concerned about the temperature in the areas where the light is closest to the plants. Ideal ambient temperature range is between 75-85 degrees F. I keep my area between 75-80 during lights on, and at night it gets down to 65.

I purchased a thermometer from Radio Shack that has a remote sensor as well as the one on the main unit. It's very nice since I can hang it from the HID to the exact height of the tallest point of my girls. Here is the remote sensor...
