Where is best place for tempature sensor

main reason asking is it gets crazy hot in my closet where growing will be....maybey i have the sensor in wrong spot
 
try getting one with an indoor and a outdoor monitor that way you can read the temp above the canopy and below. if you already got one with just one reading i say put it level with the tops of your plants that way you will know if your light is too hot on your babies
 
i do have an in/out, i have it set up outside my closet and the sensor is right inside at bulb level but its relly close for my closet is small
 
i dont know dude its silver and i have it mounted to my wall outside my closet, the sensor is in my closet with the door shut and its right about level to where the bulb is (top of the plants)

so you just have the wire running into your room and the gage on the out side of your room? then the tip of your wire should be the same hight as your tallest plant to see what its temp is no point in havin it right next to the bulb you already know its hot
 
so pretty much where every the tip of my plant is i should have my sensor... thanks man! i kinda figured that but like i said i have my bulb going in my closet right now without plants yet and i have the sensor about level to the bulb and its way too hot so imma try putting the sensor lower
 
so have the sensor at the canopy? so would that be above my light at the roof of my grow room?
