Where do you get your spores?

So you used Rye as your spawn material and you spawned it(Rye) to the manure?*sounds better*
That chamber is a waste of $$$$$$ when you can accomplish the same thing with a $5.00 plastic container from Wally-World and a $3.00 bag of Perlite.
Just wet the Perlite and place it inside the plastic bin(evenly across the bottom) and set your casing ontop of the perlite, close lid-then fan and mist daily=that's the cheapest and best method(IME).
What is the 411?
Okay, then i wont get one. I just like ease:mrgreen:
I am sorry, for jacking this thread, but since we are both new to this, i thought we could get some help.
And sorry doc, for my ignorance, but do you happen to have pics of or a link to the whole perlite bin thing and how to place the casing on it? And have you ever used substrate bags, that is what i am trying now, and dont know if i am doing it right.

Yes, I have pics, but, I'm still trying to figure out how to post them.

Just place about 2"inches of Perlite across the entire bottom of the plastic container, add enough water to that to bring the water level up to about an inch(one inch below the surface of the Perlite), then place your casing container/tray of mushroom substrate onto the surface of the perlite.

Yes, I have used bags before=don't personally care for them though=too much work involved.

I have to resize my pics before I can post them(bummer)but, I will post them as soon as I get done editing them.

heydo6,
What strain of mushrooms are you looking for? I have an extensive collection of spores , pm me .

40acres,
Here is a little tek you may find helpful too

Those are casing containers that hold one quart of Wbs each. They remain with their lids closed until the pins just start to touch the lids then you open them up(as you see here). To keep them from contaminating during fruiting, you place them in larger bins like these

Just wet the Perlite before you add it-To do that you just soak it really good and let it drain for about 10 minutes then add it to the bin. The wet Perlite will evaporate off the water and produce humidity at a relative 98-100%.
When you fan & mist, just open up one corner of the lid and wave your hand, or a clean piece of paper, at the opening and mist into it. Let the mist fall(like morning dew) on top of the casings.

Here is a straw casing that produced over 98 (cracker dry)grams of mushrooms on its first flush,

That was 989.52 grams wet!

In the harvest picture(one up from bottom) that casing is setting on the lid of the fruiting chamber-to give you a relative idea as to how big they are.
I can't find one of the bin itself. But, anyway you get the idea.
