Where do I take the cutting?

Alright so I know HOW to clone and all that the problem is I don't know WHERE to take the cutting... Last time I took a clone it was from a small plant and I cut a branch at the main stem.. Nothing grew back from where I took the cutting.. Can someone post a pic with a circle/arrow of exactly where you should take a cutting? Thanks
 
here is a pic try to find something like that with enough stem to cut look for area where you see a new set forming cut stem above that one
