Where do i take the cutting from

Where do u take the cutting from is it the top grow tip and can i just simply cut it and pot it. Or is it from the branch please can some one help me. I want to force the plant into flowering but want a cutting first. Please help me this is my first plant and i need all the help i can get.
 
Before you clone make sure you have everything you need, this includes a good understanding of what to do. Go to the growfaqs and you will see numerous ways to take clones. Also this video is good for first timers it's about 1 and half hours and it shows you a lot of the basics, including cloning

Take the cutting from the bottom of your plant as shown in the pic.

Incase you can't read what it says in the pic here :-

Take the cutting from the side colas which are growing just above your leaves,
and try to make sure that the cola your going to cut has at least 3-4 sets of leaves and is a healthy green colour.

What a great video. Explains verrry well. Now my prob is that the mother has already begun to flower (otherwise how would I have know it's a female?) I think I'll give it a try anyway.
 
in the second video i believe they flower there mothers to determine the sex and then return them to veg state. Does any one know if this works, or if it is better just to take clones and sex those instead?

I would never flower a plant and then revert her to veg to become a mother. Then she would always be a reverted plant, and all of her cuttings would be reverted plants.

Maybe some guys do that, but a purist wouldn't.

That is why we take cuttings and sex them to determine.

how about chopping her after shes done and clone the crap outta the whole plant?would that b the samething?(potroast)
 
Not a good idea, clone her before she flowers. Take side branches if you want lots and top them if want shorter plants.
