Thanks! This grow is still underway so I don't know how many seeds per site yet but I'm seeing at least 5 to 6 seed pods developing on average. I really want seeds from the AH3 and Sweet Tooth plants for future use so I used several lower bud sites on these plant strains.
The buds were still small and had few pistles at the time (except for the Lowryders) so I chose many sites on the plants from the 2 strains. I averaged 10 seeds per bud site from my previous GH Cheese grow and got approx 50 seeds total. I have yet to grow from this seed batch. So many seeds so little time...
Thank you Smokey. I couldn't have done it without the folks who posted good info I needed here on RIU. No regrets about using the lower buds sites. It was great advice when I read it and still is today. These lower sites lag behind the top bud sites in their development and the output is way low when compared to upper site production so why not put the little guys to work producing seed.
Thanks M4A1. All I got on my first grow was 4 healthy male and 1 sick female white widow plants. The girl died so I made the best of the situation by collecting polllen from the 4 males.
Got 4 WW seeds left so with the 50/50 average ratio of girls to boys in weed seeds, most (all?) of these are future girls.
I crossed the WW pollen with 2 Lowryders fems and also crossed these 2 girls with lowryder pollen from 1 male from the same grow on other bud sites but I failed to mark the sites. Now I'll have to make note and see what comes up when/if I plant seeds from this batch.
