when would you start the count

I realize there are some opinions on the matter and would like some input... I'm about 40 days into flower according to the light switch from 18/6 -12/12 she took just about 3 weeks to show herself. 18 days after the switch... I know it depends on thr trichs and what percentage of cloudy to amber ratio.. when would you start your week count at the showing of preflower or at the change of lights? She is a full sativa from what I can tell. Not sure of the strand tho

A lot of people have differing opinions on this issue, but I start my counting when the preflowers appear. However, I do not really keep close track of the time, I let the plants tell me when they need to be harvested.

I start counting when they start to flower

Whenever pistols start showing I'd start counting weeks of flowering, but as you've said it's mainly when the plant is ready not you lol.

I personally do days of 12/12 but only because it is consistent for me. Whenever I ask questions related to flowering on here, I do say "X days of 12/12" to be clear.

Thanks jaz and slim, looks like I have 2 in agreement at the showing of flowers... I recon there will be some that say different. if we count from flower then she seems to be doing well. She stretched a considerable amount in the 3 weeks after changing the lights.. anyone hve any tips to identify the strand of sativa?

More from the start of flower. Thanks for the input. Every strnd is different so I don t expect a definitive answer more so a guide.. sativa tend to take longer in general anywhere from 9-14 weeks if my reading serves me correct.
