My girl is outside in a 3 gallon pot. all I have been giving her is tap water for the past 2 and a half months. A lot of the lower leaves have been turning yellow and falling off so i have been fertilizing for the past two waterings. when should she start looking better?

I don't know. But, I think the other more experienced posters here will want to know:

When did you start fertilizing for the first time, and what did you use?
How often do you water?
What kind of soil?
What is the ph?
Is it still in the vegetative stage, or is it flowering?
Got pics?

By the way, I'm currently growing in a 3 gallon pot. But my plant is almost 5 months old. And, I just use tap water that's been sitting out for 2 - 3 days. Good luck.

I think last saturday was the first time i used fert. its in MG soil. I ph the water to 6.8. I saw the first pistols yesterday. i was using a high N fert, but next time im going to use 6-12-6.

Yep, same thing happened to me with the MG soil. Mine didn't happen until after 3 months, tho. It had the 3 month supply of nutes. I gave it a boost with all purpose miracle gro nutes, and when that ran out, used some miracle gro fish emulsion (5-1-1). I had yellowing leaves, the whole bit. Now that it's flowering, some yellowing is normal. The 6-12-6 nutes you plan on using should work fine. Just keep an eye on it. But from here on out, you will have some natural yellowing of leaves. Best of luck to you.
