Sitting under 150w hps, freezeberry auto fem. from big head seeds. She's currently 48 days old, she showed sex at approx 26 days old, had a monsterpus strecth when I put her under the hps from cfls. Under cfls, she was about 7-8" tall, now, after 3 weeks of hps, she almost tripled in size. She's currently lst'd at 18.5 being the tallest top branch. The actual main top is at 15.5. Someone please tell me when she should stop stretching and start buddin. Being almost more than halfway done, I'm expecting something to be showing up soon and the anxiety is killing me.

Should be starting to flower by now. Can you post up any pictures?

Posted mine at around 4 weeks. Can see where the bud sites were going to be. Listed as a 10 week strain.

She's 7 weeks, still in veg. No difference to the top/side branches, still making tops but no bud. She's in a 30 qt homemade pot with about 5.5 gal of soil for her. Could that be why she hasn't started? She hasn't been rootbound yet?

No they should of flowered. 150watt might slow down development a bit. What light schedule are you on?

So, I'm going to be buying an led, anyone know of a good brand that is relatively low on the cost? I'm looking to either buy or make one myself. I was an I.T. in the navy so I'm sure I could figure out hot to make my own. Looking for like a 400 or 600w.

Give it a week or two then drop to 16/8, if still nothing after a week then keep dropping. That's all I can think of doing.

You could try going to 12/12 incase there was a seed mix up but if it turns out to be a mix up and it is a photoperiod you want to avoid messing with the lights or you could hermie it.

As for getting an LED, can't help you. There's some guys in the LED lighting section that are clued up though so head over there and do some reading... Indoor Growing > LED and other Lighting.

I know there wasn't a seed mix up on my end. She is a freezeberry from the seedpod I received from bonza seeds. Still have 2 more beans. But if I did get a bigger light, as u said, 150w hps might be slowing down development. More wattage can only help, not hinder. And I thought that when the hairs pop out that's a sign she's about to start flower, do photoperiod plants also have the same hair protrude out even in 18/6 lights? Or do they rely on the switch to 12/12 to even start sex and flower?

Could be on their end. Heard of it happening before.

Yeah I'd look into upgrading light for sure, but it depends on the rest of your setup for what you go for really.

Well I built a homemade CFL housing, it currently holds 28 23w-40w cfls. There's 4 plants under it, then the 150w hps, with just the freezeberry auto under it, and lastly in the closet/drying/curing room, I have a 150w CFL grow light. She hermed on me so I put her in her own room after cutting all the balls off. Can u run led and CFL in the same room not quite next to each other but close to each other?

The more light/the more lumen output then the better. Thing about having lots of lights is the temperature going up, the more you add the hotter it'll be. Also running cost will increase. People who use extra lights tend to use them to reach areas that the main light can't reach effectively or penetrate to.

When I said about setup I meant more to do with growing area and ventilation/circulation. I don't really know about LED, I think they run a lot cooler than HPS so a 600 would be a better option. But from the little reading what I've done on them it's better to buy quality which tends to be costly. If you can control temps you could go with a 400watt or 600watt HPS and get a MH bulb for veg.

What went hermie the auto??

A different strain I got as a freebie. Polar Express. Yea she started to herm, so I chopped them danglers off n it hasn't shown any negative signs since. I'll add a fresh pic she's the same age as this here freezeberry, soo much smaller and already into bud. Its crazy what the difference in a couple gallons is. She does have some nite burn as I was trying to do something different than I should of.

From what I've read it's pretty hard to hermie an auto. Seems strange that one ain't flowering and one hermied on youl

Going back to the original question if it was me I'd drop to 16/8 in a week and see if it induces flowering.

Hmmm, I thought they say its relatively easy. Not hard. ? The main fans I had plugged into a timer, but they are not auto start fans. So when the timer kicked on, the fans didnt. Temps got up to 99. Thats when she started to herm, the freezeberry hasn't shown any signs of hermin. Just hasn't started flowering. I need to study up on patience I know, but to have one thats already 2 weeks into bud n one thats still veg stretching like mad, is really puzzling to say the least.

I suppose it will differ from strain to strain and genetic stability, but I think I've only ever come across autos throwing out nanas. It's only what I've read though so im taking what I've read as accurate lol.

You tell me, this was when I saw them, they're no longer there.
