When to use neem oil?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if it's beneficial to give my plants a little foliar spray of neem oil without having obvious bug problems. I'm growing in a basement and have seen the odd spider but haven't seen any symptoms yet. Just wondering if it's ok to give them a a spray to prevent infestations?

Yes it is a very good idea to spray your plant once every 2 weeks as the neem is systemic and is absorbed by the plant thus making the leaves and roots taste bad to the bugs.

Its best to use it before anything appears.

If you have normal spiders in your basement then you do not have to worry as they generally eat other insects not plants.
