When to transplant?

I'm starting to have little roots starting to poke out of the bottom of the 1 gal container. The plants are only about 3 weeks old, and maybe 6 inches tall. But, the leafs are as big as my hand. My question, how much longer before I transplant into a 5 gal smart pot super soil? I was thinking in about a week, not to sure though. Experienced advice?

If you want you can go ahead and TP. The more soil the better after the seedling stage. Plant looks healthy so it is a good time to.

Transplant now, the root system has reached capacity and any additional growth in that pot will lead to it being root bound. Nice looking plant.

Well alright I think I'm gonna go ahead and transfer today. Thanks for the info fellas. I've done 2 previous grows indoor, but this is my first run with super soil. I'm excited to see the difference from my previous crops.
