What’s up fam finally got my situation on Go mode. Currently on Day 6 trying to decide is around Day 16 a good time to switch from 54w seedling fluorescent Light to my 1000w HIDs? When does veg actually start?

I have always found its best to start seedlings with the big lamp. But kept very high above the canopy. I move them an inch or 2 closer as they seem to stretch for more every 1-3 days.

Wanted to avoid that stretching, and for it to be day 7 they are looking nice. I don’t have a lot of height in my space

Thanks. Maybe went a little to heavy on the Perlite bc I’m having to water everyday but when I make next batch of soil for the transplant I will cut back on it just a little. Or is it good to have a lot of perlite?

Perlite can be adjusted for the individual conditions of the Grow. I adjust (took trial and error) so I water 2-3 days in the final pot.
