When to stop feeding?

I hear that if you have an 8 week lady, and you stop feeding her on week 8, then grow to week 10, it will make for better smoke because she will use the nutrients she has up and therefore, there won't be excess nutes in her flowers... Anyone know the validity of this? Another one is turning off the lights for 24-36 hours before harvest for more potent buds... any tips are appreciated.

Personally if i have an 8 week lady il stop feeding on the 7th week and flush for one week, i wouldn't say turning the lights off 24-36 hours makes the bud more potent but it certainly does it no harm. When ive harvested with and without a period of darkness ive never noticed any big differences, but some people do so each to there own!

I stop giving nutes 2 weeks before I think I will be chopping. I stop giving them any nitrogen 4 weeks before chop. It has been working well, got the tips from DJ Shorts book.

Some people say giving plants 24+ hours darkness makes them develop more resin. I have not seen this, but I do my chopping before the lights come on. That is to get the most out of the terpenes, smell, taste, etc...

I would to keep continue feed my ladies, just down the nutes every waterings...drying and curing will do the job with smooth and taste, IHMO.

cheers people ya been a insperation to my brain , witch is now fxxked more then it was , lol feed dont feed , lights or not, flush , chop , mate its not easy is it, think im going to keep it simple . feed up tell the last week , cup back on nutes, get em a week of molasses , then the last week jusr ph water, and do the dark ness bollox , oh when do I stop useing co2 , mmmmmmm gas

I personally feed all the way to my last water before chop. but 2 weeks before hand i do a flush and then only do organic nutes for a week then water for the last week.

I'll stop feeding a week, sometimes two before chopping.
Ive did the darkness thing, it does make the buds look shiny and more crystals, but It all ends up the same by the time it's been cured...

i only water with the sweat of virgins, and feed it pancake mix........lol. to starve, or not to starve, that is the question.......
