when to start light.

OK, I've just planted my first seed ;D (auto-flowering)
it's just germinated, and its in the pot, in my grow space.
do I start my lighting now, or wait until it has sprouted?

Start your lights as soon as it breaks the soil. What kind of lighting do you have?

If it has leaves you can use CFL light (set of fan leaves)

just a 125w cfl,
im only growing a small plant, just for a test =]

start it up.
if it pops and has no light it stretches.

it doesn't take too much energy and doesn't heat up much so it shouldn't have any real downside

Post count means nothing, I've seen people with 3000 posts that don't know crap.

You can check peoples other posts and their grow journals to evaluate their wisdom.
