When to start 12/12?

So i have 7 plants that are almost 4 weeks old and are growing quite nicely under 19/5 light schedule, but im not sure when to start flowering. I've heard as early as 4 weeks and as late as 8....any suggestions, comments etc. would be fabulous

I read to wait until the nodes start to alternate. It's supposed to be a sign of sexual maturity.

Can you elaborate on that pleaseee. what is a node and how can i tell if they are alternating....?

Nodes are where the leaves and stems branch off from the main stalk. They branch off on each side at same place at first but when they get older they start to alternate, first one side than the other.

waiting for them to alternate can take a long time ,flowering at 4 weeks is fine,but the longer you veg ,the more crop you will probably get
